Nedumbassery is fast emerging as a favourite residential area in and around Angamaly. Starting of Infopark in Koratty has made lot of software engineers from Kakkanad moving their residence near Angamaly. Even though some IT companies have moved their offices, right now there are few thousand people working in the Infopark campus.
Nedumbassery is particularly famous because, other than the airport, all other things remind you of a village. The people are simple; mostly have their living from agriculture and dairy farming. There are no polluting industries and so the air and water are not tainted. In fact I know of lots of north Indians who are working with the CISF in Airport are in love with the place.
Most of these families live in flats in Nedumbassery or in other residential areas in the neighbourhood. Since being a village, the residential areas resemble fairly a simple community of local people who depend on agriculture and farming for a living. Years after the Airport was opened, now the place resembles a small upmarket town where some shopping malls and eateries are coming up.
